Overview: You have the right to request access to the Erie County Technical School public records. Request for public records are to be made to the Open Records Officer. Requests may be submitted in person, by mail, by email, or by facsimile. Requests may be oral or written, and may be made using the Erie County Technical School Public Records Request Form. Title IX
Overview: Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities in federally funded schools at all levels. If any part of a school district or college receives any Federal funds for any purpose, all of the operations of the district or college are covered by Title IX.
Title IX protects students, employees, applicants for admission and employment, and other persons from all forms of sex discrimination, including discrimination based on gender identity or failure to conform to stereotypical notions of masculinity or femininity. All students (as well as other persons) at recipient institutions are protected by Title IX—regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, part- or full-time status, disability, race, or national origin—in all aspects of a recipient’s educational programs and activities.
Designated Title IX Coordinator: In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972, the District has a designated Title IX Coordinator for Students and one for Employees. The District’s Title IX Coordinator should be contacted regarding any inquiries as to the application of Title IX or filing a harassment complaint. Threat Assessment
Overview: Act 18 of 2019 amended the Public School Code of 1949 by adding Article XIII-E, Threat Assessment. Among its provisions, Article XIII-E requires the establishment of threat assessment teams for all school entities in Pennsylvania and tasks the School Safety and Security Committee (SSSC) to research, develop and provide free threat assessment guidelines, training and informational materials, as well as model procedures and guidelines for school entities.

SMS/MMS Consent, Opt-In/Opt-Out, and Privacy Policy

- You will be unsubscribed from further SMS/MMS communications immediately.

By opting in to receive SMS/MMS from Erie County Technical School, you agree to the following:
- We do not share phone numbers with third parties for the purpose of allowing those third parties to send SMS.
- We do not pass any individual’s consent to receive SMS to any third party.
5. Message Rates
Standard messaging and data rates may apply for any SMS/MMS sent or received as part of this service, depending on your mobile service provider’s plan.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, including phone numbers, with any third parties for their marketing purposes. Your information is solely used to send the requested SMS/MMS communications as per your consent.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal information. However, no electronic data transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make any significant changes, we will notify you either via the contact information provided or through updates to our services.
